Edwin Wayne Little, 65 of Wilmington died Friday, March 5, 2010 at his home with his family at his side.

Wayne was born in Columbus County (Lake Waccamaw) on October 29, 1944 the son of the late Ernest and Ethel Little. Wayne retired from Fortron Industries in 2003, he was a chemical lab technician. Wayne also achieved the grade three waste water treatment certification while there.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years Diane H. Little, daughter Kim Abernathy and husband Mike of Wilmington, daughter Traci Little and partner Mandy Tipton of Burlington, son Dan Gregg and wife Clarissa of Leland, brothers Chester Little of Lake Waccamaw, sisters Shirley Apple of Fairfield, CA, and Janice Hinson of Whiteville, grandchildren Miles and Demi Abernathy and Rachel Gregg.

A Memorial Service will be held at Winter Park Baptist Church on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 2:00pm. The Reverend Eric Potterfield will be conducting the service. The family will see friends one hour before the service.

    I was soo sorry to hear of Wayne's death today. I have not seen much of him over the years, except at class reunions..The class of 63 was small and close. Wayne will be missed by many. My condolences to his family. I know you feel the void but remember he rests in God's arms now and is at peace.
