Eileen Wehinger Emerson, daughter of George and Frances Wingender of White Plains, NY died on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Eileen attended our Lady of Good Council, White Plains High School, Art League of NY and in later years traveled in Europe studying Art History.

Eileen joined the U.S. Marine Corps, married Sgt. Major Edwin E. Wehinger, Sr. and had a loving family of five children.

In 2001, she married George Emerson of Bath, NY a forty-two year employee of Corning Corp.
Eileen and her late husband Edwin Wehinger, Sr., are survived by the children, Janeen Crawford of Wilson; NC, Edana Davis of Bradenton, FL; Edwin Wehinger Jr. of Wilmington, NC; Colleen Chapman of Wilmington, NC; deceased son George Wehinger; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family remembers their mother with abiding love and cherished memories.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens located at 306 Bradley Drive in Wilmington, NC on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
