Grosso, Elaine LeGeyt, of Hampstead, NC passed on February 3, 2023, after a long illness at the age of 80 with her beloved family at her side.
Elaine was born in Hartford, CT. on February 9, 1942. As a child she attended Weaver High School and spent a lifetime of creating wonderful memories with her childhood friend, Penny LaCasse. She was the daughter of Edward LeGeyt Sr., and Helen Catherine Lennehan.
She was predeceased by her adoring brother, Edward LeGeyt Jr. Elaine had a heart of gold, a soul that shined, and an unwavering Faith and enthusiasm. Her kindness, optimism, selflessness, and love of everyone and everything was evident in her caring and admiration of not only her family and friends, but also her grand appreciation of nature, animals and the environment. She was truly gifted with Arts and Crafts. She was an avid Folk Art Painter and Basket Weaver in which she was involved in numerous societies over the years in both CT. and NC. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Patrick A. Grosso, mostly on motorcycles, camping, gardening, decorating, country music, and our nation’s history. Elaine embraced every adventure in life and shared her experiences and gifts with everyone.
She leaves behind her beloved Husband, Patrick A. Grosso, and children, James E. Horan, Jr., Nancy-Ann Huffman, Douglas Shulthiess, and Stepson Jeffrey Grosso, along with six grandchildren and a newborn great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and In-Laws near and dear to her heart.
A Celebration of her Life will be announced in the future and a Catholic Mass in CT will be arranged in her memory.
