Eldridge Deleon Ganey, 69, of Leland, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Mary Beth Blake Ganey.

Born in Wilmington, August 30, 1949, a son of the late Morris Eldridge Ganey and the late Hattie Burnette Carroll and Clyde Bell Jones, he had worked as a maintenance supervisor in the shipping industry.

Besides his wife Mary Beth, he is survived by his daughters, Mary Lynn Rogers and her husband Greg, Stephanie Skipper and her husband John, and Julie Beth Ganey; his son, Eldridge Deleon Ganey Jr; his grandchildren, Brandon Blue, wife Laura, Jared Blue, wife Brianna, Hope Humphrey, husband Cameron, Skyler Dean, wife Shannon, Faith Pope, husband Aaron, Taylor Dean, Erin Ganey, Ryan Ganey, Waylon Fairfax, Kaitlyn, Madison, and Jaylynn Rogers; his great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Dean, Steven Brody Blue, and Braydon Pope; his sisters, Wanda Yopp and husband Allen, Vicki Lehrschall and husband Roland, and Sheila Irving and husband Shane, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his great-granddaughter Arianna Blue.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 pm in the Wilmington Funeral Chapel with funeral services being held on Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brandon Blue, Jared Blue, Skyler Dean, Ryan Ganey, Aaron Pope and Cameron Humphrey.
