On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, Eleanor Mae Deschamps of Wilmington passed away peacefully at the age of 64 surrounded by loved ones.

Eleanor was born on August 1, 1957 in Colonie, NY and was the daughter of the late George Christiansen and Lois Lansing (Dewitt). She led a successful career in the photography industry as a Regional Vice President of Olan Mills Portrait Studios. During her retirement years she was an entrepreneur who owned a bar and restaurant in the Wilmington community.  She enjoyed spoiling her beloved Maltipoo “Myla” and was passionate about cooking, gardening, music, dancing and traveling. Eleanor valued time with family and friends above all and frequently hosted many special events and gatherings.

After a courageous battle with COVID-19 she is now at peace and will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 32 years, Joel.

She is also survived by her beloved children, Eric Nous (Julie), Amanda Hunter (Jen), Kori Deschamps, and Brian Deschamps (Jenna); five grandchildren, Victor Nous (Audrey), Ava Nous, William Hunter, Addison Hunter, and Grady Deschamps; and one great grandchild, Evelyn Nous; two sisters, Kelly Audino (Tony), Patricia Sanchez (Mike); one brother, Keith Lansing and sister in-law Lanie Lansing, and brother in-law James Deschamps. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as close friends.

Remembered are her parents and a brother, Daniel Lansing who preceded her in death.

Visitation for Family and Friends will begin at 6 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2021 and her Celebration of Life Ceremony will begin at 7pm at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

The service will also be live streamed below for those that are unable to attend
