Elizabeth “Beth” Ramsey

Elizabeth Snider “Beth” Ramsey, age 95 of Leland celebrated her earthly, and her heavenly birthday with rejoicing and singing in heaven on Wednesday, August 7, 2013.

She was born in Taylorsville, Kentucky on August 7, 1918. Her parents were Albert Snider and Leticia Foreman Snider. She was married to her husband, E.G .“Gene” Ramsey for almost 72 years until his passing in 2009.

Beth was a life long student of the bible and a fierce prayer warrior for people around the world. She was also an accomplished artist and musician.

She is survived by her sister, Ione Snider May of Bardstown, KY; two daughters, Ms. Michael R. Hoyt of Leland, NC; Florence R. Latham of Rocky Mount, NC; and one son, Gene Ross Ramsey and wife Lynn of Gray, TN; seven grandchildren, Scotti H. Sammons, Lance L. Howell, Morgan H. Hughes, Paige L. Davis, Ramsey Michael Latham, Tina R. Johnson, Brian Ross Ramsey; four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial ceremony will be 3 PM Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Woodburn Presbyterian Church, Village Road, Leland, NC 28451.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
