Elizabeth Ruth Mullinax Liles, 95 of Wilmington passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012.

She was born in Gaston County, NC on November 10, 1916 to the late Christy and Lillie Mullinax. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Allen Liles, daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Jim Poole, and grandson, William Abernethy.

Elizabeth was a charter member of Long Leaf Baptist Church, where she was a church training leader, and taught Sunday School for many years. She was retired from Century Mills and was a longtime resident of Sunset Park.

She was a true servant of her Lord and Savior and will be dearly missed by her family, her many friends at her church and her neighbors.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Norton and son-in-law Ben Norton of Wilmington.

The family will see friends from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Long Leaf Baptist Church with the funeral service to begin at 11 am officiated by Rev. Eugene Ridley. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.

A special thank you to her many care givers at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Hospice.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Long Leaf Baptist Church or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
