Elouise Faulk Dyson, age 82 of Wilmington passed away Saturday August 30, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Wilmington on August 28, 1932 to LeRoy Davis Faulk and Callie Norris Faulk.

Elouise was the widow of Arthur Ray Dyson and mother of the late Jeffrey Ray Dyson.

Elouise grew up and lived in the Delgado-Spofford Mills Community for most of her life and went to Gibson Avenue Baptist Church for much of her life, along with her husband and family. She was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the piano for many years at Gibson Avenue Baptist Church. Most recently she attended Long Leaf Baptist Church where she made many new friends. Elouise was well known and remembered at the WalMart Store on the Sigmon Road location where she served as a Door Greeter for about 18 years.

Elouise is survived by her daughter, Pam Adamson; granddaughter, Brandie Brooks; and great grandchildren, Aubry and Embry Sumpter; numerous nieces and nephews; along with two special friends, Helen Ballard and Frances Long.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Gibson Avenue Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Joey Harrell and Rev. Eugene Ridley. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

    So very sorry to hear about Elouise. She was my first true friend at Walmart. In a huge way she was like a mother to me, while my own lives so far away. She was such a special person and I love her for being there for me when I had problems. She was the best! REST IN PEACE ELOUISE!!!!
