Eric “Boom” Delmark Crawford, 47 of Wilmington, NC passed into eternal rest Sunday May 7, 2023 in Wilmington NC.

Born January 30, 1976 in Lancaster, SC to Cardell Crawford of Edgemoor, SC and Elvis P. Crawford (who preceded him in death). He leaves behind his loving wife, Cindy Crawford, and children Payton, Ava, Scottie, Dylan, Nic and Meelah. Sisters Shaun Hampton (Luvitrius), Shakeitha Cloud (Joe Anderson), Brother Gerald Hilliard (Shulawn). Devoted family friend, Elder Clifford Garris. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Boom attended Lewisville High School (Richburg, SC) class of 1994. He went on to attend college at Livingstone College (Salisbury, NC) where he excelled in football. He was a member of the 1997 – 1998 Livingstone College Blue Bear CIAA Championship team and was inducted into the Livingstone College Hall of Fame in 2018. Eric worked as a Senior Manager of Biostatistics at LabCorp. He loved music, fast cars, coming home to the country, football and fishing. He was a jack of all trades. His greatest love was his family and friends.

There will be a memorial gathering of family and friends from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

    Eric was one of the men who literally changed my life by giving me a chance at PPD in 2000 as part of the programming team. I only worked with Eric at PPD for a few years, but those years were a turning point in my life. He was such a good friend. Those lazy summer days after work going fishing - I will never forget. This breaks my heart. Rest in peace Eric. You will be missed.

    To the wonderful Family of E. Crawford and his beautiful legacy. I was fortunate to be a BlueBears teammate of Eric and got to know him as only teammates can do. He was a wonderful person, always happy and filled with great energy. I haven't seen E in 20 years and this loss hurts me, I can only imagine the hurt his day to day loved ones are dealing with. God Bless your family and legacy E. Crawford, you've left your mark on this world. Love you bro!!!
