    Alexandra Frerotte LCSW says:
I first met Ethel when I was in Social Work School. I never knew about Social Workers until I met my friend Sheila Platt and she was able to help me discern what graduate program I should go into. My undergraduate degree was Psychology and I did not want to do a PhD or research. I started my MSW program and an in-law was very curious as "why would you want to get a masters to give away welfare checks". Ethel knew about the clinical part of Social Work and described how many other ways Social Workers do their business. She spoke up and told my in-law about the difference.\ My dear friend Sheila Platt has become internationally known for her Critical Incident Training and has started an MSW program in the Philippines. Ethel, Sheila ,Thelma Meyers,Chris Keunen, Marianne Walters are all Social Workers who will make Jane Addams proud. I could not see myself being other that a social worker.
