Eugene Emerson Maynard Jr. (Gene) – devoted husband to Anne, father of two daughters, Jennifer and Amanda and Grandaddy to four, Clay, Ava, Sarah and Lizzy, passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 76 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Gene was born to Eugene E. Maynard Sr. and Geneva Maynard on January 3, 1946 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jimmy and Jerry, sister Becky and wife of nearly 49 years, Anne.
He spent the majority of his adult life in Greensboro, NC where he worked for North State Pyrophyllite for 35 years.
He also spent time in the ministry of the Lord. His love for God was apparent to anyone who knew him as he had a passion for sharing the love of Jesus. His family will miss him very much
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Carvers Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
