Evelyn Malpass Dale of Reiglewood, age 85, born October 19, 1933 passed on February 25, 2019 at Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville, NC.

She was the wife of the late Johnnie George Dale and preceeded in death by her parents, Luke and Lou Malpass; brothers Winfred Malpass, Bernice Malpass, Rayford Malpass, and sisters Margeret Peterson, Inez
Wallace, and Rosa Lee Moore, and son Johnnie Ray.

She is survived by daughters Connie Fay of Reiglewood, Cynthia of Reelsboro, brother Alfed Ray Malpass, and sister Verna Gainey. She was the grandmother of Melody, with great granddaughter Sidney and great-great-grandson Reegan of New Bern, the late Lathem , Kristina of Leland with great grandchildren Yousef and Malek, Renae with great grandchildren Shardonae and Emoni of Beaufort Co., Leah with great granddaughter Willow of Reelsboro, and Marlee of Reelsboro.

She was a member of Cheerful Hope Baptist Church and Eastern Star Pamlico Chapter. Evelyn was an avid gardener, amazing cook, and very loved mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, March 1, 2019, at the graveside in Cheerful Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 1810 Byrdville-Freeman Road, Delco, NC 28436, officiated by Rev. Calvin Malpass.
