Gladys Faye Hales Worthington 65, of Leland passed away Tuesday June 5, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Faye was born in Wilmington on December 28, 1946 the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Mason Hales and was preceded in death by her brothers Donald Ray and Robert L. Hales.

Surviving are her husband of 28 years Keith Worthington, daughter Tina Jacobs and husband Shane, twin sister Gloria H. Bell, three grandchildren Steven Thomas Hines, James Keith Hines, and Hayley Raye Karington Hines, great-grandson Luis Fernando “Peanut” Resendez Hines

The family will be at the home of Gloria Bell 202 Ronald Avenue Castle Hayne, Thursday evening from from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

A funeral service is being planned for a later date.

    Aunt Faye was the sweetest lady,Nanny Jr,if there is such a thing. She had the best memory about things and the sweetest disposition,always thinking of others before herself.She was also a great cook. I love you and I'll miss you Aunt Faye.
