Frances Mildred Hayes, age 91 passed away, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Liberty Commons Health Center.

She was born in Akron, Ohio on October 5, 1924 to William Ray Brown and Claudia May Vantruse Brown.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Earnest Hayes, her parents and older sister, Margaret Boyett.

Frances was a member of Grace Point in Leland, NC. Frances loved to quote scripture and witness to others of God’s great love. For many years her friends and neighbors gathered in her home on Wednesdays to pray and to study God’s word. All who knew Frances, were aware of her great love for her daughter, Terry Ann, and her granddaughter and great grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Terry Ann Hayes Horner of Lynchburg, VA; granddaughter, Abigail Horner Howe; and great grandchildren, Matthew Scott Howe and Keely Marie Howe; and sister, Willie Boyett.

Service arrangements are incomplete at this time.

    We had a good time talking when I stayed with her got to learn about the love she had for terry and her daughter will remember the good times we had laughing and the history she told about loved her like a daughter she made me and Tony special caretakers

    I loved listen to her tell stories of her life and She loved telling me about her life of how she became to live in Leland...she always had a smile for me no matter how she felt...I loved watching her with her cat...she loved him so much...and on Sunday morning after getting dressed n breakfast it was our time with Charles stanley ...she loved listen to him...and loved playing games with Ann...I enjoyed taking care of her....she made my kids and I feel like we were part of the family....you are surely miss....
