Francis Joseph Daly, Jr, of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully on August 1, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn of 40 years, his three children Ann, Frank III and James, sisters Tillie Marchese and Teresa Burke, many nieces and nephews.

A loving man, Frank was selfless until his last breath. He was born to Francis, Sr. and Theresa Daly, and was raised in Brooklyn, NY where he raised his family while working for JP Morgan. He came to Wilmington in 1994 and the following year became a member of Cape Fear Lions Club, volunteering his time, spending his days helping those in need, and serving as President in 2002. Frank has touched many lives through his time here with us, and he will be remembered with much laughter and love in our hearts. He will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 4, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial following in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00-4:00 PM and 6:00–9:00 PM Friday at Wilmington Burial and Cremation, 1535 S 41st Street with a prayer service at 8:00 PM.

It was Franks wish that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Cape Fear Lions Club.
