Frederick “Freddie” Ganey age 62 of Leland, NC passed away on Sunday April 2, 2023.

He was born in Wilmington, NC on August 1, 1960 the son of Alzada S. Hewett of Leland and the late, Frederick A. Ganey. He was preceded in death by a sister, Andrea Robinson also a nephew, Joshua Robinson.

He will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Jason Wayne Ganey of Shallotte, NC a daughter, Amber Ganey of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Leonna, Amaia and Gavin; nieces and nephews, Grison, Cayden, Lincoln and Serena.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in First Baptist Church of Leland by Pastor Steve Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Nelson Family Cemetery Leland.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

    Freddie you were certainly “ one of a kind”! We shared a marriage & had Amber & Jason. Things didn’t work out but we always remained friends. You were the hard -headest person I ever knew!
