Gary P. Humphrey of Wilmington, NC passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, N. Melissa Humphrey; daughters, Brook Boltz and Keri Humphrey Felix and husband Joe; son Roylander White and wife April; grandchildren, Indiana Boltz, Jaedon, Micah and Mia White, sister, Venita Fore and husband Robert ; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Grayson Humphrey and parents Carton and Iva Lee Humphrey. Gary was a talented musician and has played bass guitar from the age of 15. His love for music echoed throughout his life and will forever be a part of ours.

The visitation will be held at from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, May 22, 2015 Masonboro Baptist Church, 1501 Beasley Road, Wilmington, NC 28409.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at the church.

    Uncle Gary, Do me a couple of favors please...find my dad,your brother,and give him a big hug and kiss for me and then tell him a good joke. Tell my sister, Bridget, that I love and miss her and last but not least find my first born grandson,Grayson. On bended knee/eye level tell him I'm proud of him and that I can't wait to put my arms around him. I know the sight of God must be overwhelming. I'm picturing you as I write this sitting with your dad, whom you last saw at 9 yrs old,your mom and my dad. I know your heart is full and ours is too. We just have to adjust to you being gone. Your girls have rallied around melissa. They will be fine. Loving you always, Kelly
