    Ellen Greene says:
Remembering Gene - for over 55 years - makes it difficult to list all the wonderful memories but there is one instance that still puts a big smile on my face. Diane and I would usually go shopping while Gene would run. One time when Gene was in the hospital we went to his room to put on a fashion show of everything we bought. We had Gene laughing so hard he threw us out for fear he’d bust his stitches! One of my most treasured pieces is an ink drawing Gene did of Fire Island - another chapter in our lives. He was a wonderful artist. Of course we’ll all miss him but memories do bring smiles.

    Phyllis D says:
He will swallow up death forever. And the Sovereign Lord Jah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for God himself has spoken it, Isaiah 25:8. May you be comforted by God's promise of a new heavens and new earth and the fulfillment of his promise to restore life to all who he remembers, Acts 24:15, 2 Peter 3:13, Psalms 37:11, 29, 34. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

    Richard Wishnie says:
We are so sorry to learn of Gene’s passing and send our sincere sympathy to Diane, Michael, Julie, David and the rest of the family. Gene was a good and decent man as well as a wonderful friend to me, Marilyn and our family. For many years he struggled with a debilitating disease that impacted his life as well as Diane and his children. The family rallied in support of Gene. Michael, Julie, David and Diane were amazing caregivers and did all they could to make the best of a difficult journey. Gene is now at peace and we hope that the memories of the good times will help comfort Gene’s loving family. Sending much love to all. Richard and Marilyn. ❤️
