Gene Owens Hodgden, age 63, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at his resdience.

He was born on April 11, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Clarence Owens Hodgden and Noley Olene Clemmons Hodgden.

Gene worked for the Carolina Beach Sanitation Department.

He is survived by his brothers Dean Cooper of South Carolina, Frederick Clemmons of Wilmington, and Michael Clemmons of Wilmington and his sister Loria Ann Clemmons.

Together with his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Albert Cooper, Ronnie Clemmons, and Donnie Clemmons and his sister Darlene Cooper.
