Debbie Rigdon, 55, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born in New Hanover County on October 9, 1955 to Phil and Genevieve Jeffords.

Debbie is survived by her daughter Melinda Johnson, son CJ Johnson, her aunt Imogene Biggs of Wilmington, two sisters, and special friends Mark and Judy Magill of Boiling Springs Lake.

    I've known Debbie for 30 years! She worked at United Carolina Bank and I helped her get out of eyeglasses and into contact lenses. Her eyes were beautiful. So was her soul. Such a great lady. I also got to know her sister, Teresa Bolton. I'm sorry Debbie is gone from this life and hope the best for her children.
