George Dewey Rabon III, age 59, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 8, 1955 the son of the late George D. Rabon Jr. and Mary Faulk Rabon. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Margie Marie Rabon and dog, Alex.

Surviving are his daughter, Wendy Marie Rabon; mother, Mary Faulk Rabon; his canine companion, Mimi; sister-in-law, Sylvia Nucci (Steve); nephew, Patrick Nucci (Tara) and niece, Ann Nixon (Charles). He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family from the neighborhood and his family at the Sawmill Restaurant.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Anyone who ever met George loved him and now he has gone home to be with the love of his life.
He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.

    george was one of the best freinds i ever had. we went through a lot together in this life. i loved him as if he was a brother. i will surley miss him.

    Wendy I am so very sorry for your loss I will always remember your dad at the beach music festival dancing and carrying on I will always remember him getting mad at me for putting my purse on the counter and when he came to see me in hospital and the Scotty mccreary concert. Always remember he lived live to the fullest and will be greatly missed
