George Livingston “Buddy” Faulk, 88, of Wilmington NC passed away at home on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
He was born on September 15, 1931 and raised in Wilmington NC , the son of the late Fletcher Faulk and Daisy Matthews Faulk.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Alice Bradham Faulk, his son Clayton E. Faulk Sr., his daughter Gloria Palmer as well as several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his daughter Teresa Faulk, son Dennis Faulk, six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter. It would light up George’s heart every time they entered the room.
He is also survived by his sister Mary Rabon; brothers: Clarence Faulk and Jimmy Faulk; many nieces and nephews; and two special adopted daughters Stephanie Carroll and Phyllis Brown.
In 2006, George was retired from his family ceramic tile installation business.
George served his country with honor and distinction in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. In the army, he was a Gunnery PFC in the 567 Field Artillery. He was in charge of disassembling and reassembling the “big guns”. He, also, trained others in this field.
George loved fishing and going out on the boat with family. He was a die hard Carolina Panthers fan and loved NASCAR racing, as well.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the Wilmington Chapel, 1535 S. 41st Street Wilmington NC 28403. Burial will immediately follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington NC.
