George William Smith, 73, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home.

An inspiration to everyone who knew him, George was and always will be loved so much. He was truly blessed with his lifelong friend, soulmate and wife of 54 years, Diane, and a family who loved and admired him deeply. He never met a stranger, always lived life to the fullest and was our brave Marine right to the end of his life. We will miss him immensely.

    A neighborhood friend of only a few years, George was to us an Officer and a Gentleman. It was a delight for us to have shared a few moments with him and enjoyed his bright smile and keen observations on a whole range of issues, including some humorous commentary during a round of golf.
