George was a much loved member of our family. His fun loving nature, his ability to make you laugh and his smile will never be forgotten. And his breakfast smoothies were the best! We have wonderful memories but are so sad to have to say goodbye to such a special man! George you were the best. Rest In Peace until we meet again.

Our hearts are saddened at the loss of such a courageous and kind gentleman. We will remember George’s positive spirit, gentle soul and infectious smile; and most of all, we’ll remember the bond of love he and Diane shared together. May loving memories of him bring you peace, comfort, and strength.”

I had never been on a boat. His kindness in letting me know everything would be alright was calming. Our boat ride with my husband George was on Lake Norman. We docked for lunch and returned to their house. We thank you George and may you rest in peace

Words cannot express the sorrow we feel with George’s passing. Although we’ve known George for a short time, we considered him a friend and wonderful neighbor. A fond memory of George was seeing him on our morning walks as he was taking Nikki for a stroll. He always appreciated attention given to Nikki as we talked about our lives in Brunswick Forest. He was also a great storyteller- embellishing stories with salty expression! George was always a positive person. He never complained and soldiered through his illness bravely. His warm smile and great sense of humor will always be with us. May he Rest In Peace.

Our heartfelt condolences to Di and family. The Smiths were one of the first families to welcome us to the Cape Fear neighborhood, arriving with Di's delicious carrot cake muffins on our move-in day. We will miss seeing George's smiling face and pleasant conversation as we frequently passed him and his dog, Nikki, on the CFN Drive loop. Di, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
