Georgia Lee Morgan

Memorial Gifts & Donations

Georgia Lee Morgan was born on October 23, 1940 and passed away while on an adventure in Africa.

She had a passion for experiencing different cultures, seeing new places and sharing her joy. A few highlights, for there are far too many to list here, are Saudi Arabia, Korea, Greece, Mexico, France, Holland and Germany. Giving was in her nature; her time, money and laughter. She volunteered for the DAR, Salvation Army, Pilot Club, and so many more. Above all she loved her kids and grandkids; if you knew her you would have heard the names Robby, Mandy, Shelby, RP more than once.

Georgia is survived by her son Rob Morgan, his wife Cristie Morgan, and their two kids Shelby and RP Morgan. Her Daughter Amanda Snyder, her husband Mike Snyder. Virginia Lane, her sister and many cousins and friends; all of whom will feel her loss in different ways and will miss her laugh and terrible jokes.

A time of Visitation will be held on October 28 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, immediately followed by a Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am. Interment will be held privately after.

In grand Georgia fashion, she requests in lieu of flowers to do something kind for someone special. The family requests you tell that person a story about Georgia and smile.

So sorry to read about Georgia’s passing. We went to school together and are are also third cousins. We would see each other at our class reunions and would have lunch together about once a year. I found out about her death today and her funeral was yesterday. So sorry I didn’t know ahead of time. I know she will be missed.by her family and friends. Rest in Peace Georgia.
