Gina Rae Baldwin Daye age 47 of Wilmington passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her home.

Gina was born in Wilmington on January 10, 1970. Gina graduated from Laney High School in 1989 and was an Auto Insurance agent with Able Auto Insurance.

Gina is survived by her husband Richard Liston Patten, Jr.; her mother Gloria Wilson Sasser and father Lewis Norman Sasser, Sr.; her sister, Tammy Baldwin Bricka; brothers, Lewis Sasser, Jr. and Martin Alan Sasser. She was preceded in death by her father Jimmie Ray Baldwin and brother Wesley Sasser.

Her special dogs, “TeeBone” and “Lollipop”.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held 2 pm Monday, December 18, 2017 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Robert Keates, Pastor at College Acres Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, and to honor the memory of Gina, memorial donations can be made to the ASPCA.

    Dear Richard and family... I am so very sorry to learn of your loss of Gina. The loss of one's spouse can be very devestating. Fortunately, death is only a temporary part of life. Jesus promised us a wonderful resurrection of the dead (John 5:28,29/1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14), so we have the hope of being reunited with our deceased loved ones.     Oh Gloria I am so very sorry for your loss. Gina was such a beautiful sweet girl. I remember the day she was born and the times that we were together with her and Renee.
