Glenda Hardee Brown, 69, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Benjamin “Benjy” Brown.
Glenda was born in Wilmington, October 31, 1948, a daughter of the late William Harvey and Myrtle Phillips Hardee, and worked for the New Hanover County School system until her retirement.
Along with her husband, Benjy, she is survived by her sons, Stacy Brown and wife Michelle, Bruce Brown and wife Karen, her grandchildren, Chelsea Brown, Drew Brown, Hailey Brown Taylor and husband Thadius, Lindsey Brown, Dana Brown Schlotterer and husband A.J.; great-grandson Emmett Cole Taylor; her brother William Wayne Hardee and his wife Yvonne, all of Wilmington, Two nieces that were close to her heart, Wendy Byrd and husband Alan, Susie Wells and husband Paul, and several other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Doris Russ and Barbara Fulcher.
Her visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2018, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
