Gloria J. Ventura, age 91, of Leland, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the SECU Hospice House in Bolivia, NC.

Gloria was born on October 21, 1929 in Lodi, NJ and married her high school sweetheart, Joseph B. Ventura, in 1950, they were married until his death in 1995. She is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Karen and her four grandchildren; Tina and her fiance Gabriel, Joseph and his wife Nicole, Laura and her husband Kevin, Julie and her boyfriend Rogene and her sister Betty.

Gloria worked at her Italian Delicatessen and Catering business in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, from 1971 until she retired to North Carolina at the age of 84. She loved to cook. Gloria loved watching her soap operas and talking on the phone daily with family and friends. She followed the Stock Market and Politics and loved to discuss the daily news events.

Gloria will be missed but thought of often.

    We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Thinking of you and keeping you in our thoughts during this difficult time. I fondly remember your mom's warm heart during our family gatherings and the time I spent working with her at the Casa Del Sole. Kerry and Lauren still remember their visits to the store and receiving special goodie bags from Aunt Gloria.
