Gower Lewis Tartt of Wilmington, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center at age 51.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Billie Tartt of Wilmington, NC. He is survived by his brother, Grant M. Tartt and wife, Sharon Tartt; also one nephew, Mathew A. Tartt and one niece, Cady A. Tartt, all of Wilmington, NC and his special friend, Karen Tartt.

Gower was a happy-go-lucky soul with a love for Nascar, an avid artist and loved a good pot of oysters.

Visitation will be held at Seagate Baptist Church on January 29, 2011 from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. at Seagate Baptist Church directly after the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Seagate Baptist Church at 6115 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
