Grace Virginia Meeks, 83, of Wilmington, NC passed away on December 10, 2011.

Born in Pender County in 1928, her parents were the late Roland and Lula Basden Cauley. In addition to her parents, grace is preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia Deaver.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Garrett (Douglas), Eddie Meeks (Carol), Kenneth Meeks, Donnie Meeks, Jimmy Meeks (Wanda), Gary Meeks (Sandra) and Gail Walker (Harry); eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in the chapel of Wilmington Funeral & Cremation,
officiated by Pastor Randall Smith and Pastor David Hooper. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church, 2710 Hermitage Rd., Castle Hayne, NC 28429 or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Lifecare Center.
