Harley Matthew Davis, age 39, of Rocky Point, passed away at home on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

He was born on July 7, 1977 in Lumberton, NC the son of Michael Winston Davis, Sr. and the late Julia Jeanette Rice Davis.

Harley Davis worked as an Electrician for 20 plus years and was a member of IBEW.

He was a kind man with a huge heart who was loved by many. He had no enemies and would never hesitate to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He never met a stranger. With electric blue eyes that lit up a room he was always the life of the party and knew how to make anyone smile. He had many passions, one of them being his family. With an undying love for all animals especially dogs, many nights he would come home to sit in his chair while his dogs sat on his lap. He had a love for all genres of music. Being an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan he never missed a game and finally got to visit the Cowboys Stadium once in the last year. he had a passion for hot rods and muscle cars, his favorite being Ford Mustangs. He also loved going to NASCAR races. His favorite racer was Matt Kenseth. He will truly be missed by many.​

Harley is survived by his wife Kimberly McCreight Davis, children Haley Davis, Winston Davis, Mackenzie Cutshaw, Cody Cutshaw and Karley Davis. His father Michael Winston Davis, Sr., his brother Michael Winston Davis, Jr., sisters in law Emily Davis and Angel McCreight and nieces and nephews Megan Davis, Jessica Norton, Brittany Cox, Tanner Davis, Paislee Davis, Julia Davis, Matthew Williams, Elijah McCreight and Levi McCreight.

Together with his mother, Julia Jeanette Rice Davis, he was predeceased by his brother Chad Davis.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. A service to celebrate Harley’s life will follow at 6:00 PM, Pastor Rob Strickland officiating.
