Harry P. Flynn, 92, of Wilmington, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, May 14, 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lorine H. Flynn, 3 children, Roger M. Flynn and wife Sheila, Edwin H. Flynn and wife Cheryl, and Faye F. Blanton and husband Tim; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Harry was born September 16, 1919 in Atkinson, NC and has lived in Wilmington since 1961.

He had a lifetime career in sales. His family and friends know how much he loved hunting and his many adventures at the “deer camp”. He and Mrs. Flynn have been long time members of Temple Baptist Church and regard them as part of their family.

A brief visitation for friends and family will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Temple Baptist Church with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm

    Dear family, I met Harry and Lorine when I first came to Temple Baptist Church 6 years ago. What a precious couple! Harry always commented on my hats ... he liked each one better than the one before. I'll never forget his chuckle and the way his eyes crinkled when he laughed. What a wonderful man; he will be missed by each of us. Blessings to you each. I pray God's peace on you as you deal with your loss.

    I am so sorry to hear Harry has passed. I enjoyed having breakfast every Tuesday morning at Chris's with him and the other Temple Baptist men. His laughter and smile will be missed. Someday we will have breakfast together again, until then we will miss you Harry, thank you for all you've done for us and Temple. See you on the other side Rick Colarossi
