Helen “Jean” Bradshaw of Wilmington NC was born on April 10, 1948 to the late Richard and Pauline Ward in Columbus County, NC and passed away on February 21, 2023 surrounded by family.
Jean made her house a home for her husband and children and worked at Harris Teeter for many years until she retired. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. If Heaven has a Bingo game, she is surely playing it! She had a fond love for Elvis and her many cats over the years, but most of all, she loved the Lord. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories two daughters; Helen Haggins and Catherine Bradshaw of Wilmington NC, two brothers; Ricky Ward and wife Brenda of Wilmington NC, Buddy Ward and wife Renee of Murrells Inlet SC, two grandchildren; Nikolai Dixon and Miranda Dixon, one niece Paula Lagrange as well as a host of friends and relatives.
Along with her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J Bradshaw, Sr and step-son, Leonard J Bradshaw, Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 1:30PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Kenny Chinn officiating.
