H.L. McInville, Jr.


H.L. “Mack” McInville, Jr., 75, passed away September 11, 2021. He was born to Herbert Latimer Sr., and Mildred Louise (Morrison) McInville on October 28, 1945. He was predeceased by his parents.

Survivors include: two daughters, Christie Fox, and Shannon McInville (fiancé, Eric Dietrich), grandson, Cody Fox, great-granddaughter, Ella May Jolly; sister, Bertha Hevner (Paul); nephew, Randy Hevner; niece, Lisa Ford and many cousins and extended family members.

Mack was a proud U.S. Marine veteran who served time in the Vietnam War, earning two Purple Hearts and an Honorable Discharge. Mack loved his country and was very patriotic.
He became a long-haul truck driver for 40 years and worked in the film industry as a Driver.

In his spare time, he loved fishing, golf, was an avid poker player. He loved motorcycles and Harley Davidson especially. Mack never met a stranger, helped everyone, and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a very independent person as well.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington NC 28403 with funeral service 10am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held 3pm Saturday, September 18, 2021 at East View Cemetery Old Lilesville Rd., Wadesboro,

    Mack - I wish I would have had more of a chance to get to know you. The few times we did get together you were very open and welcoming. We did get a few hands of poker in, but it should have been more. Thank you for your service to the country. I will do my best to care for your daughter and be a supporting family member. RIP.
