Mr. Herman Theodore “Ted” Rannow, 76, of Leland passed away October 11, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Ted was born on August 7, 1936 in Ohio to the late E.B. and Gladys Rannow. He was in banking for many years in the area of business development.

A communiciate of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmington, Ted was a loving Husband, Dad and Grandpa. He was a very enthusiastic sports Dad and he dearly loved the Pittsburg Steelers football team. He was also an avid rose gardener. But most of all he especially loved his retirement and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Mari-Louise Rannow; three daughters, Marianne Dzurina and husband, John, of Bunnlevel, NC., Paula Rannow of Fuquay-Varina, NC., and Kristine Guthrie and husband, Chris, of Wilmington, NC.; three grandchildren, J.T. and Breanne Dzurina and Julian Guthrie; two sisters, Ruth Webber of NC. and Anne Webb of Virginia; two brothers, Bruce Rannow of Ala. and Tom Rannow of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmington on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00pm, by the Reverend John Misenheimer.

The family will receiver friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
