Howard Wayne Gainous, Jr. was called home by his Lord and Savior, he passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 28, 2017. He was 43 years old.
He was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to so many.
Howard worked as a sub-contractor and owned Top Notch Construction and built several churches, condos and home in Wilmington and the surrounding communities.
He was preceded in death by his father Howard Wayne Gainous, Sr.
Howard is survived by his daughters Trinity Gainous and Kaitlynn Thompson, granddaughter Serenity, his mother Alice Henderson, grandparents David and Eunice Bellamy, his sister Krista Dobson, brother in law Walter Dobson, four nephews Billy Stephenson, Warren Dobson, Tristan Dobson and Noah Dobson; four greatnephews and nieces Landon Reid Thomas, Walter Kasch Stephenson, Brayleigh Grace Dobson and Frederick Wayne Stephenson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00PM Friday at Crossroads Baptist Church, 4540 Technology Dr, Wilmington, NC 28405.
Inurnment will be 2:00PM Saturday at Oleander Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorials made to John T. Hoggard High School, Attn:Atheletics and Wayne Gainous Memorial Fund: Football, at 4302 Shipyard Blvd. Wilmington, NC 28403, would be greatly appreciated.
