Iris Delores Benton Stroud 81, of Wilmington, NC died Thursday, March 18, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Iris was born in Wilmington on January 25, 1940 the daughter of the late Roy Alton and Ida Lee Benton. She ran Power House Maintenance, and was a member of Pine Valley Church of God. Also preceding her in death are brothers Leroy Benton and Bobby Benton and a sister Gwendolyn Benton.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years Elwood Stroud sons Michael Stroud, Donald Stroud and Jim Stroud and wife Deborah, brothers JD Benton and wife Bonita and Edward Earl Benton and wife Marie, and a grandson Alex Stroud and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:30 AM Monday March 22, 2021 at Pine Valley Church of God. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will see friends from 11:00 AM until service time in the church sanctuary.
