Jacquline Sue Schouten
Jacquline Sue Schouten, age 75, of Kure Beach, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born on October 17, 1942, in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Berton Olmsted and Iva Atkinson Olmsted.
Jackie married her husband Dick on June 25, 1966 and this June they would have been married for 52 years. Together with her husband she is survived by her son Josh. She was predeceased by her parents Berton and Iva and her son Richard John Schouten III.
Jackie really had a love for flowers and spent lots of time gardening.  That was a passion of hers that was introduced to her by her dad “Dumpa”.  Mom’s greatest gift that can not be taught was her unwavering love and dedication to her family.  For that I am the Luckiest son ever.  We all loved her.
No services are planned at this time.

Dear Dick and Joshua, I cannot tell you how saddened we were to read of Jackie’s passing. You are so correct in saying that she loved her family and she did it with every ounce of her heart and soul. I was thinking of all of you more than usual as I saw one off the daffodils that Dumpa brought to her and she planted some in our yard bloom so beautifully on what turned out to be the day she passed. We are so very sorry for your great loss.

I just heard that Jackie passed, I am so very sorry to hear this. I hadn’t seen her in quite sometime but remember her visits to my grandparent’s house, her dad’s brothers house. We also got to visit when I was a kid and we had a great time in Maryland. My dad was her cousin. I just wanted to reach out and say how sorry I am for your loss.
