Clyde McPherson age 69, of Wilmington, went to be home with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
He was born in Burlington, NC on December 16, 1947 to Thomas and Kathleen McPherson.
Clyde owned and operated McPherson’s Body Shop for nearly 40 years. He was an expert body repairman and painter as well as a talented fabricator who built and raced his own cars. Clyde was dedicated to the people that he was able to serve while developing many close relationships with those he came to know and love through his business. He was passionate about his family, country, racing and Chevrolet. Clyde loved the Lord and enjoyed serving in several positions throughout his life in church. His talent, wit, and friendship will be missed by all who knew him.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Susie McPherson; daughter, Tia Lee and husband Aaron; grandson, Trey Lee; step son, Jeff MacNeil and wife Catherine; brothers, Billy, Gerald and Bobby McPherson; sister, Carleen Culberson and many family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church, 1401 N. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28405 officiated by Rev. J.D. Herchenhahn. The family will visit with friends following the service.
