James “Don” D. Clark, Jr.


JAMES D. CLARK, JR. (DON)
Born Dec. 25, 1940 in Warsaw, N. C, to Margaret Minton Clark and J. D. Clark, Sr. passed away in his home on June 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother,, wife JoAnn S. Clark, daughter Cyndie and husband Andrew, granddaughters Kotomi and Chieko Allgauer. Daughter Donna and husband Brian, grandchildren Candace and Clark Spooner. Sister Virgina and husband Samuel Smith. Brothers in law, Bill Stanley and wife Shelba, Joe Stanley and wife Penny. Three nephews, Earl Stanley and family, Kent Smith and family, Robert Smith and family. Niece Ginger Ebert and family. Several aunts, and cousins.

Following his Father and Paternal Grandfather he became a Locomotive Engineer retiring from CSX Transportation in June 2002 after 36 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement years playing golf and traveling.
On May 6, 1974 he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Never met a stranger, made friends everywhere he went, often sharing his time, home, energy, money, and talents as “a jack of all trades“ to those in need. He tried to appear tough, but had a very loving, giving heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, at the Wrightsboro United Methodist Church with pastors Bill Haddock, John Bordeaux and Rick Crocker officiating.

    JoAnn and children: We remember going to church together and have many wonderful memories at Ogden Advent Christian Church. Those were good times and I'm so glad I knew Don and you as you were always an inspiration. Even though we haven't see you for a while doesn't mean we have forgotten you. You will be in our prayers.
