James W. Grubb of Wilmington passed away on Friday May 27, 2011 on his 80th birthday at his home with family at his side.

Born in Kingsley, Iowa May 27, 1931 the son of the late George Harrison and Ella Royer Grubb.

Jim was a professor Emeritus at Ohio University from 1964 to 1985, having received his early education from California State University.

He served on active duty in the United States Army with HUMRRO as a research psychologist and was honorably discharged in 1965.

He was active in the Ohio and West Virginia Psychological Associations, as well as the American Psychological Association.

Surviving are his wife Dorothy Dyer Grubb, two daughters Rebecca Grubb and Lizabeth Antonoff, granddaughter Jenny Nicole Woods, brother Earl, and sister Margureite O’Hair.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Cheryl Walker of the Unitarian Fellowship will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 10 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
