James Maynard Lane (also known as Jimmy) age 77 of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully with his family on September 2, 2022 at 1:38pm. He was born August 13, 1945, the son of Troy Lane and Naomi Phipps Lane Hall. His life will be celebrated in December among family and friends. His ashes will be spread in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean.
He is survived by his son Tad Lane of Wilmington, NC, and his daughter Tia Lane Brainard with husband Todd Brainard of Kihei, HI; his loving grandchildren Marshall Darren McLean, Tad Junior Lane, Amelia Lane, Talia Brainard, and Tallison Brainard of Wilmington, NC. James was a loving Father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.
In his last years, he spent most of his time in the place he called home. An old blue house boat at the end of Trails End Rd. He enjoyed the coastal life watching birds, boats, sunsets, fisherman, and the marina community.
