James Rudolph White 75, of Scott Hills died Saturday June 11, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

James was born July 7, 1935 in Bladen County the son of the late James Theodore and Lidia Mae Ludlum White. He servied his country in the US Army and then the US Marines.

Surviving are a son Michael White of Buford GA, daughters Wendy Stokley and husband Kevin of Wilmington and Sharon White of Union City, GA, four grandchildren, one great-grandson.

Celebration of life service will be held 10 AM Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his home 161 HL Smith Road.

    I'm sorry for your loss. Death is such a trying event that it's called an enemy in the Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:26. But Jesus gave us a hope in the Bible at John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." So, we will be able to see our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. Then we will never have to lose them again. Why can we say that? Because God has promised us this in the Bible at such scriptures as Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 26:19, and Revelation 21:3-5. Isn't this good news? Please read these scriptures in your own Bible.
