James Thomas Davis

James Thomas Davis of Leland, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at his residence.

He was born in Wilmington, NC, on June 21, 1957, the son of Barbara Davis of Wilmington and the late Thomas F. Davis and his wife Jo-Ann Davis who died on Friday, May 21, 2010.

He was associated with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department and was a local cab driver.

Surviving are: a daughter, Rebecca J. Davis and a son, Patrick A. Davis both of Wilmington.

A memorial service will be held 3 pm Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Carolina Beach Alliance Church with the Rev. Andrew Pasendag.

    I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I am the son of Frances Ledbetter Schroeder who was the first cousin of Barbara Ann Burton Davis. James "Jimbo" was my second cousin and we used to visit him and his mom when we stayed with my grandmother Sue Ledbetter at Hamby Beach just down the road from Carolina Beach. I would love to hear from Barbara Ann and her grandchildren (Rebecca and Patrick) and catch up with that side of the family.
