James “Chuck” Thomas Kornegay Jr., age 62, of Wilmington passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 12, 1952 in Steadman, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Kornegay, Sr. and sister, Lisa Matthews.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Imogene Kornegay; loving mother, Dale Hay (Jim); daughter, Misty Gilder (Dustin); Grandson, Eli Gilder; brother, Khristopher Kornegay (Jackie) and sister, Lynn Dennis (Mike).

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Lake Forest Baptist Church, 1626 Lake Branch Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
