April 21, 1939 - September 27, 2022
James Thomas Meadows

James Thomas Meadows, 83, of Rocky Point, was called to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, also having a reunion with many family and friends who passed before him.

James was born on April 21, 1939 in Southport, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur W. Meadows and Mary Sorensen Meadows, sister, Marie Meadows, brothers, William, Clif, Gene, Rickard, and Kenneth Meadows.

James was a member of Grace Baptist Church for 50 plus years and was a member of the Pathfinders Class with Rev. Barron Nobles, pastor of that class.

James is survived by his sister Margaret Meadows of Rocky Point, sister-in-laws Ethel Elizabeth Meadows of Rocky Point and Judy Meadows of Texas, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and his church family, who all loved him very much and he loved them. James will be missed by all who knew him.

James was childlike and innocent. He is remembered by his favorite saying, “How are you?”, “I love you.” And “You’re fired.”

Memorial service will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM, October 22, 2022, at Grace Baptist Church, Childrens Chapel, 1401 N. College Road, Wilmington, NC, officiated by Rev. Barron Nobles, music by Wes Richard. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, please if you are so inclined to donate to Pathfinders Ministry at Grace Baptist Church.

James was wondering to learn from. I was Blessed to have worked with James and Kenny for over three years. They reminded me everyday of the love for everyone. I think James fired me at least twice a day but he always smiled back and said I love you. Prayers for the Meadow's family
