James W. “Jimmy” Stokes age 58, passed away October 13, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

He was born in Wilmington on May 27, 1956 the son of Vernon G. Stokes and the late Sylvia Barber.

Along with his father Jimmy is survived by his son James Alan, daughter Mandy, granddaughter Hayleigh Summerlin, a brother Wayne Stokes, sister Dianne Stokes Larson; his first wife Debbie Bass mother of his children and his second wife Monica Stokes. And several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation 1406 Physicians Drive Wilmington, NC 28401.

Arrangements are in the care of Wilmington Funeral & Cremation.
