James William Ace, 76 of Hampstead, NC, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021,at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

He was born June 11, 1944 in Vestal, NY, to the late Gerald and Leona Ace. Jim is survived by his wife, Gail Ace, sister Merle Zimmer, daughters Stephanie Taylor and DeAnne Chryst. Jim
and Gail were married 51 years and have 8 grandchildren.

Jim served in the US Navy and worked most of his life as an engineer with IBM and then he and Gail retired to the NC coast where he was actively involved in Faith Harbor UMC and Emmaus
community.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Faith Harbor UMC in Surf City on Friday, June 4 at 2 pm. Receiving line from 1-1:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Faith Harbor UMC Building Fund (faithharbortopsail.com), The Anchor UMC (anchorwilmington.com) or Lower Cape Fear LifeCare hospice center.

    The beer refrigerator in the Vestal basement and the the miniature trailer we played cards waiting for rain to stop before we broke the chain saws trying to clear the woods. Gail I tried to email but think you address changed! Hug those kids!
