Janet Starr Powell Whitlock, 69, entered into eternal peace on December 27, 2020.
Born in Wilmington, NC on October 4, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Hershell Ryland Powell and Vivian Langley Powell. She graduated from Hoggard High School and went on to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She is survived by her two daughters, Holly Boyer and her husband Bill of Wilmington, Windy Sexton and her husband Virgil of Wilmington; grandchildren Lily, Ella, August, and Noah; brother Mark Powell and his wife Sharon of Wilmington; sisters Andrea Asbury and her husband Andrew of Wilmington, Char Lynn Daughtry and her late husband Eddie, who was like a brother to Janet, of Clearwater; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private service.
