Janice Lee (Parsons) Lutz, 58, of Carolina Beach, NC passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday March 31, 2018.  She was born in Charleston, WV, the daughter of Nancy Jenkins and William Dale Parsons.
Jan graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and West Virginia Technical College.
On April 19, 1985, Jan united in marriage with Jerry Lutz and enjoyed nearly 34 years of marriage. Jan had a son, Michael Travis Parsons from a previous relationship, and Jan and Jerry had a daughter, Rose Lutz, of Raleigh, NC, and a son, Brian Lutz of Philadelphia, Pa.  She had 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Jan was co-owner of Seaside Gifts And Treasures in Carolina Beach and worked as a medical transcriptionist.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, the ocean, her cats,  bird-watching and video bowling with friends.Per her request, she will be cremated, and her ashes scattered at sea.
There will be no viewing or service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

    I am so very sorry to hear of your loss!! Jan was a beautiful woman who I loved and adored!! She and Jerry welcomed me in their home and treated me like family ever since. I can't believe she is no longer with us....Rose, I can't imagine how it is to lose your momma. It will be hard as the days go by, but she will forever be in all our hearts. As you, Jerry and Brain are in mine. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys!! If there is ever anything I can do, just let me know..
